How to recreate your own "spa at home" routine

How many times has it happened to you, especially during the most demanding and busy periods, to dream of a sweet escape to a spa? The pleasure of being wrapped in soft white robes, in total relax, while indulging in the sensations of luxurious treatments...

Since most of us don't visit wellness centers every time we'd wish to, there are little tricks to recreate the experience of a spa directly at home! The only requirements? A shower, your skincare products and thirty minutes free on the agenda!

Here's how to recreate your own "spa at home" routine:

1) Create the perfect "spa" atmosphere
The right atmosphere is one of the most important factors to consider if you want to recreate a spa in your bathroom. The key elements? Music, lights and scents!
Low lighting immediately signals our brain that it is time to relax. Dim or turn off the bathroom lights and leave only your favorite scented candle burning. Then, select a relaxing and calm music, so that you can totally abandon yourself to an atmosphere of peace and tranquility.

2) Start with the body...
Once you've created the perfect "spa" atmosphere, focus on your body. Get into the shower and use a scrub product: apply it circular motions, starting from the ankles and continue upwards, to promote lymphatic drainage and help circulation. Turn on the water and let yourself be pampered by the heat and steam of the shower. A good body scrub will allow you to eliminate all excess dead skin, leaving only a soft and smooth appearance!

3) ...continue with the face
Each spa wellness treatment includes moments of relaxation with a face mask.

4) Proceed with a deep cleansing

Choose a gentle shower gel, which can both deeply cleanse the skin and leave a lasting softness. With softer, smoother and fresher skin, it's time to get out of the shower and finish the wellness session.

5) Conclude your spa experience with a final pampering!
